八月七日(立秋)の日に各地ではいろんなイベントが行われていました。
そのうちの一つで南区の「多治速比売神社」では奉納民謡踊り「弁天祭」が行われました。弁天祭は多治速比売神社におまつりされている「弁天社」の神賑(しんしん:かみにぎわい)の行事として行われるようになりました。弁天社にお祀り（おまつり）されている市杵島姫命(いちきしまひめのみこと)は、芸能の神様としてご神徳がありそれに因んで、近年は８月に奉納民謡踊りが行われるようになり今年も「勝廣会」による音頭と、多くの踊り子さんで盛況を博していました。
