泉北の桜、新名所として紹介されていた御池台の滝桜を見に行きました。栂・美木多駅から近畿大学堺病院の前の道を御池台の方に南下して行くと路沿いに一本の枝垂れ桜が見えてきます。

これが「堺泉州」で紹介されていた「御池の滝桜」でした。桜並木のトンネルも総観な気持ちになりますがこの「御池の滝桜」も満開に花を開き、年を追うごとに大きくなっていると自転車で通りががった地域の人が話されていました。

近所の公園の桜が満開になっていたので急いで滝桜を見に行きましたがやはり満開状態でした、満開に間に合って良かったです。
