今日は、府立大学が開催している「堺・南大阪地域学」で一般受講生と府立大学生ほか、いきいき堺市民大学の受講生を含めた共催講義が行われました。「堺・南大阪地域学Ⅰ」の講座の第４講義～第７講義をいきいき堺市民大学の受講生は、一般受講生４００名、府立大学生３００名と合同で受講することになっていおり、大学内の「Ｕホール白鷺」で一緒に受講することになりました。

◆「堺のまちの新しい動き」と題して、堺市企画部政策企画課長の大黒氏による講義が行われました。堺市の歴史から近年のトピックス、市域の変遷、中核都市、政令指定都市への移行について、堺市の課題と堺市の資源、行財政改革の取組みと財政の健全性などについての状況の講義がありました。
◆また堺市の今後について、”堺市マスタープラン”「さかい未来・夢コンパス」に沿居って堺の新しい動きについて２０１１年から２０２０年までの概要説明の講義がありました。その中の「堺・３つの挑戦」では次のような挑戦が挙げられていました。
挑戦(１)子育てのまち堺・命のつながりへの挑戦 の一つとして救急医療体制の構築
挑戦(２)歴史文化のまち堺・魅力創造への挑戦 の一つとして東京で初となる常設堺産品展示販売コーナーを東京交通会館に開設や百舌鳥古墳群の世界遺産登録への取組み
挑戦(３)匠の技が生きるまち堺・低炭素社会への挑戦 の一つとして海岸地域での企業誘致やサッカー施設の誘致ほか再生可能エネルギー設備の導入、刃物会館の改築による堺の情報発信の強化などの講義がありました。
◆”堺市マスタープラン”「さかい未来・夢コンパス」(約250頁)は販売もされていますが「堺市ホームページ」の電子ブックでＷｅｂ上で視ることも出来ます。
