阪和線和泉砂川下車、徒歩１０分 熊野街道沿いに「梶本邸」があります。 藤の旗をたどっていけばすぐわかります。
行ってよかった！！それはそれは見事な「野田ふじ」でした。 甘いいい香りに包まれます。
故梶本昌弘さんは、１９８７年奥さまが生け花で使った鉢植えの藤を庭の隅に植えました。後、癌を発病されてから、「命」に対する思いから念入りに手入れされ 今では、東西２７メートル、南北３０メートルの広さに育ち、３万房の花を咲かせるまでになり、口コミで広がり、マスコミにも紹介されて、藤を見に来る人が増えてきました。
梶本さんは永眠されましたが、「藤保存会」の方が引き継いで、この時期｢藤まつり」が開催されます。
梶本邸より５，６分歩くと、紀州街道、信達宿本陣跡があります。 特別公開で、長屋門から内部、お宝の調度品などを二十八代当主の説明で見せてもらうことができました。
江戸時代、紀州公が参勤交代で宿舎としていて、拝領の品や軸など貴重な資料がたくさんあり、往時が偲ばれます。
