●第１作「３丁目の夕日」、第２作「続３丁目の夕日」と物語を引き継ぎ、今回の第３作は茶川竜之介とヒロミが所帯を持ち、淳之介が東京大学を受験勉強するところから始まってゆきます。鈴木オートの家族、六子の恋など更に成長してゆく姿を追う。竜之介と淳之介の「親子」としての確執や竜之介の実父との再会と別れが、あの時代を写し、「家族」とは何か考えさせるものとなっていました。その後の竜之介と淳之介はどうなるでしょうか。
