●今日（１２日）、国の史跡「四ツ池遺跡」（堺市西区浜寺船尾町）を見てきました。JR津久野駅より西側約１kmの国道２６号線沿いにある浜寺中学と浜寺今池周辺が、史跡の区域になっています。池の傍にある公園には、「史跡・四ツ池遺跡」の石柱が建っていました。和泉市の池上遺跡などとともに弥生時代を代表する遺跡であるとのこと。
堺市博物館には発掘された壷、石やじり、甕、鋤などが展示されています。また飯蛸壷などの漁具も出土したという。大陸から水稲耕作技術の伝来もあり定住生活を営むことができるようになったとのこと。今池からのそよ風をうけながら、遙かなる弥生を想い浮かべてみました。（写真左：今池と浜寺中学校、右：石柱 ）
